Julia4marine Services Limited offers ship management services to its customers. The overall aim is to provide a safe, efficient, cost effective and quality management service to all our clients and to operate all vessels in full compliance with the ISM Code and ISO 9001 / ISO 14001. Such a service is achieved by adhering to the following principles:

  • Maintaining a management system that complies with the ISM Code and ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 
  • Complying with all relevant legislation
  • Taking account of codes of practice and guidelines to which we subscribe.
  • Employment of suitably qualified and experienced office staff relevant to the operation of the types of vessel and management activities.
  • Employment of suitably qualified and experienced marine personnel.
  • Maintaining the vessels to a high standard.
  • Seeking to continually improve the effectiveness of the management system.
  • Identifying and setting objectives in order to achieve continual improvement.
  • Communicating this policy to improve awareness and understanding.
  • Maintaining a high standard of safety and quality awareness.
  • Establishing safeguards against all identified risks.
  • Providing safe working practices and a safe working environment.
  • Continually improve the safety management skills of personnel ashore and on board.
  • Communicating the Company’s commitment to the maintenance of a high standard of safety to Clients, Ship Crews, Classification Societies, Hull and Machinery Underwrites, P&I Clubs and Port and State Authorities.

  • Annually review this policy to ensure its continuing suitability

No consideration of schedule, convenience, practice or prior instruction which may lead to an accident or endanger the safety of the vessel, passengers, cargo or any member of the ship’s company can be allowed to justify the taking of any unacceptable risk by shore based management, the Master, Officers or Ratings.

 
The Company undertakes to ensure that all reasonable and practicable measures will be taken to provide and maintain a safe and healthy environment in all working and living areas for which the Company has responsibility. The Company also undertakes to ensure that adequate resources are made available to meet the requirements for this policy. Complementary to the Company policy is the duty of every employee always to act in a responsible manner and to take all possible measures to prevent injury to themselves, colleagues or other persons.

 
In fulfilling this policy, the Company also recognizes the close links with the Environmental Policy which is crucial to the establishment of good operational activities.


The implementation and maintenance of this policy is the responsibility of the Safety and Quality Manager who has full authority to ensure that the requirements of the Quality Policy Manual and associated procedures are being met. In the event that any problem concerning the Management System cannot be resolved to the satisfaction of the Safety and Quality Manager it will be referred to the Managing Director.
